Trump will soon take a second crack at instituting a travel ban for refugees and immigrants from certain Middle Eastern nations, it was reported Saturday.
He is expected to sign a new executive order on Monday restricting travel, Politico reported.
Trump’s original Jan. 27 order temporarily halted immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries, turned away refugees, and barred some green-card holders living legally in the United States from re-entering. But a federal appeals court struck down the rule on Feb. 9.
The president met with Homeland Security chief John Kelly, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and adviser Stephen Bannon at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Saturday to discuss the redo.
