Court orders police to file case against Geo

ISLAMABAD: A sessions court in Islamabad on Saturday ordered police to file a case against Geo News channel owner Mir Shakeel ur Rehman and several crew members of program "Utho Jago Pakistan" including its host Shaista Lodhi, ARY News reports.
A petition was filed in the sessions court by Arshad Mehmood Butt through Raja Zahoor-ul-Islam pleading the court to file a case against Geo administration for showing blasphemous content in its morning show.
Cops of Margalla Police Station presented a report in the court in which it was stated that the First Information Report (FIR) cannot be filed by them as the transmission was run from Karachi.
The court rejected the statements of the the police and ordered them to file a case against the concerned people.
