Airports Closed, Motorists Stranded

Wild and wintry weather has led to airports being closed and motorists stranded.
Liverpool's John Lennon and Leeds Bradford International shutdown their runways which had to be cleared of snow as bad weather swept across England.
Travellers are being urged to check before their travel on any transport.
The Met Office says the worst of the snow was seen in the Peak District with 10cm of the white stuff.
Motorists had to abandon their vehicles after getting stuck in Sheffield while traffic backed up along the Prince of Wales Road.
