Delta Force Xtreme 2 just another Novalogic flutter

I have been running down for Novalogic Delta Force shooter games for the last eight years. I can therefore undoubtedly say this is a hell of fun to playing with real military operations Delta Force series is bringing over the years. Comparing with Delta Force Ops Army to the Black Hawk Down one can easily assume that how Novalogic has been improving the quality of the visuals and gameplay. A real shooter game lover will always prefer to be the part of bump in the missions or operations one shooter game brings in virtual reality, and gradually a massive interest builds within player and visuals like a real. That is what Novalogic churning out Delta Force Xtreme sequels with seamlessly improved quality and weaponry to modern warfare techniques and practices. You would be amazed to hear, other modern games like Counter Strike, I.G.I and Battlefield are being involved to road cross the modern shooter series. On the other hand all Delta Force packages seem like an artifact if we compare. Being a frequent player of Delta Force Series I can simply say there is no appealing difference other than well-crafted topography and arms despite it still has tremendous charisma yet others can’t compete.

Previous Delta Force Xtreme Shooter Game Geeks

Delta Force Xtreme 2 is one of my aces I have played until now. Perhaps, Delta Force Task Force Dagger and Delta Force Land Worrier were of typical marine operations and hell of one to one and land to air fight but they were simply unfortunate to make me a repeat, very long and hectic terrains with low control when an enemy gets very close to you, saying misguided shoots makes you in trouble.

 In the mean time, Delta Force Black Hawk Down brought into market with a joint operation of marines and Navy Seals which made me highly drawn in to missions. The only thing missing was strategy and you had to only hit and run without any sniper support. Don’t get frustrated yet Delta Force Xtreme and its sequel covered all previous flaws very smoothly. Overlooking the less number of missions, we have lots of support like vehicles, motorbike, sniper guns, tremendous amount of enemy resistance which I didn’t see in previous games and importantly ammunition which would always be available after clearing different enemy areas.

The single player part of the Delta Force Xtreme 2 is based upon two campaigns inclusive five missions which can be finished in a single sitting within a day or two. One thing that can be easily ignored is pre-mission briefing which only tells you the story and relay points to be reached. Like they want to tell you about Desert Rat is a drug lord you have to battle with. But until you jump in the game and intuitively understand context and goals that you have to blow up whatever comes in your way is such kind of surprise for you. Different kind of terrains like snow, desert and mostly the mountains confuses that you are not dressed up for such situation or environment so you could be easily fired by enemy patrols.

Some of the critics don’t actually like some ambiguous triggers in Delta Force Xtreme 2 when you have been gone over the mission and all objectives has been achieved it should always be finished as in the previous games we had. But overwhelming our resourcefulness designer of the game has not allowed to be imaginative, hence you have to accomplish the mission as he likes to finish it which is somehow seems very loathsome and you have to restart mission. But to those who are arguing with this, I would astonish the planner of the game he wanted you to be really part of it.
From beginning of Delta Force Series we have seen that you are always sent over the mission with Alpha and Charlie teams which may have two or three veterans like seen in Call of Duty and Brothers in Arms in which they are programmed to down the enemy intelligently as critics say. In older days other squadmates were triggered by your forward movement but in Delta Force Xtreme 2 this flaw has been overcame not fully instead.
Here I would point out some technical flaws in game are first when if you die, you’ll start over again from the most recent checkpoint reached you would have always be directed by satellite this will not bring your dead enemy back which makes your task easy. Along with this you can easily play a suicidal game as if you want to switch through sniper or machinegun just place a grenade under your toes and feel like you are again in business.

Artificial Intelligence is Brainless Yet Unaware of Military Warfare

Coming over to virtual reality, Delta Force Xtreme 2 slips in some important things. I couldn’t feel like a real weapon system used in this game despite you will see that there would not be a huge difference in AK47 Rifle and M16 Assault Rifle. You will find only few pixels and range variation as you can feel in Pearl Harbor’s machine gun. On top of that, you even can hit enemy from 300m not more than in two shots which shows accuracy of weapons used without dropping bullets and pressured jerk leading to miss the target. On long range hit a gunner always keeps in mind about air direction and movement of the object but in Delta Force Xtreme 2 we could not feel that reality which most of times makes game just a walkover.

But objects like water, vehicles, villages and one of the most critical checkpoints which I ever had in all Delta Force games “the Bridge Blockade”, demands about 10 restarts was remarkable. Heavy resistance and fire sometimes hits you in the middle Delta Force brought in power indicator which requires rehabilitation and the you recover from an injury to let indicator be green.

Some most hilarious blunders has been made by designer in Delta Force Xtreme 2 are some poor physics and topography. You sometimes feel very troublesome when bump over the vehicle to drive it towards next checkpoint but it not allows you and you hang above or back of the cabin. Most importantly to pick up the machine guns even in vehicles or on ground you have to take a right position which sometimes kills you by enemy hit. And in some places you teleport yourself through the walls of buildings and you can’t imagine where you are on, sometimes with less resolution you can view other side of a building’s wall which shows stiffness and artificiality. You won’t like a motor boat be taking a wide turn or a bike indeed in reality so why in Delta Force Xtreme 2?

Fortunately, AI is still brainless on detection that you are driving a truck and a heavily loaded gunfire from mapped jungles hits your allies in the back of your truck and they barely can open fire before them. Overall game has much improved in making explosions and choppers falling down when hit by anti-aircraft. Objects are clearer than previous versions even though you won’t be feeling out of it but Novalogic engine is running out now.
Concluding my whole review about Delta Force Xtreme 2, I would definitely be waiting for its next shoot the Delta Force Xtreme Angel Falls which will hopefully outburst all previous scripting to realism.
