An announcement is made by Facebook on Wednesday Afternoon
that they are about to reach an agreement to buy the vast mobile messaging
company WhatsApp for an open amount of $16 Billion, $4 Billion are as cash and
the remaining $12 billion as the Facebook shares.
The Co-Founder of WhatsApp and the CEO Jan Koum will join
the Facebook board of directors, whereas the WhatsApp will continue to work
independently under Facebook as the Instagram is working. The purchase price
increases to $19 billion whereas the $3 billion will be limited as the reserve stocks
as an additional factor and will be handed over to the WhatsApp`s founders and
employees devolving over the coming four years.
